With all the different cultures in today’s society, journalists and practitioners need to keep in mind certain strategies and techniques when targeting a specific audience. Regardless if it is advertising or public relations, I feel it is important that journalists and practitioners need to understand the dynamics of diversity in order to convey their key messages, reach their target audience and network successfully. Diversity in the media allows people to have a voice, to make a difference and to be heard. Without diversity, media would be bland and boring.
